News - Press Release
November 2, 2017 — Total started production on their Edradour and Glenlivet fields offshore U.K. at the end of August. These milestones were achieved two months ahead of schedule for Edradour and one year ahead of schedule for Glenlivet and our involvement in both projects has been praised by the client.
Our scope of work included the manufacture of umbilicals, pipe fabrication, and flexible jumpers, as well as EPC scope and associated services. TechnipFMC Project Director for the SURF contract, Ståle Ryggvik said, “The project has been characterized by excellent team work and cooperation across all disciplines and departments. This has been a really important factor in achieving these impressive results and one we should be proud of.”
The TechnipFMC project team has had a busy summer as they completed the installation of flexible jumpers and rigid spools with our diving support vessel Deep Explorer. In addition, they completed the tie-in and testing of flexible jumpers and rigids spools, various light construction work, commissioning support and rock dumping using other vessels.
