New Energy

The future of energy is offshore

TechnipFMC believes that offshore will be the next frontier in the energy transition.

We are the energy architect – known for our ability to execute and integrate complex systems and projects. And we are bringing our energy to deliver the energy the world needs.

Our offshore and onshore expertise, collaborative and innovative mindset, and capabilities in project integration empower TechnipFMC to be a key enabler of the energy transition.

Through differentiated solutions that leverage our core competencies and existing resources, we will contribute through three main areas: greenhouse gas removal, offshore floating renewables, and hydrogen.

Greenhouse gas removal

Carbon transportation and storage (CTS)

Find out more

We believe one of the safest and most efficient storage locations for greenhouse gases is in naturally occurring offshore reservoirs and saline aquifers. By leveraging our existing equipment and integration expertise, we are addressing greenhouse gas removal through carbon transportation and storage.

Offshore floating renewables

Wind, wave and tidal

Find out more

Our work in offshore floating wind began in 2009 with the Hywind project, one of just two floating farms executed so far. Utilizing our expertise in integrated projects, we are able to serve as a system architect for offshore wind, wave and tidal projects, from technology development to project delivery and life of field services.

Hydrogen

Deep Purple™

Find out more

There is a strong potential for hydrogen to become a crucial carrier for the storage and transportation of energy, while bringing reliability, stability, and efficiency to renewable sources. Our focus covers two areas: green hydrogen produced offshore by the electrolysis of water using renewable energy, and off-grid energy systems delivering renewable, stable power to traditional energy installations and remote islands.
