Technip FMC’s suppliers are helping our efforts to assist those fighting the global COVID-19 pandemic.
Ten Chinese suppliers are donating a total of 60,000 facemasks and other items of medical personal protective equipment (PPE) and asked the company to get them to French and Italian hospitals and medical centers as a thank you for our support during the outbreak.
So far, 36,000 masks have been shared between five hospitals and medical centers. The donations, which also included protective suits, face shields and forehead thermometers, came from suppliers working on projects for the Technip Energies business.
The Sourcing & Procurement Team of Paris business unit and Rome business unit said, “Thanks to the very strong relationship we are maintaining with our Chinese suppliers, we have been able to support hospitals and medical centers who are in the needs of such materials to work safely. We would like to thank suppliers who contributed.”
Meanwhile, the TechnipFMC team in Senegal, Africa, gave medical supplies and masks to two hospitals in Dakar and Diamniadio.
TechnipFMC’s clients have also been generous. One sent 32,000 facemasks to the Surface facilities in Singapore and Stephenville, Texas. In Singapore, some of these were put into care packages for our employees, along with hand sanitizer.
