TechnipFMC has received the Local Content Champion 2025 Award at Namibia Energy Connect, held on November 4 - 5 in Windhoek.
Hosted by the Namibia Youth Energy Forum and supported by key industry stakeholders, the event brought together leaders across Namibia’s energy landscape to discuss the future of local content and inclusive growth in the Orange Basin and spotlighted the vital role of youth in shaping Namibia’s energy future.
Receiving the Local Content Champion Award underscores TechnipFMC’s enduring commitment in developing Namibian talent and building long-term capability in the country’s emerging oil and gas sector. Key milestones, among others, include a subsea engineering training initiative in collaboration with the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), a strategic alliance with the University of Namibia (UNAM), and the opening of a facility in Windhoek - an important step in strengthening local presence and operational capacity.
“This recognition reflects our deep belief that true progress is achieved when local talent is empowered” said Christophe Dieumegard, SVP Subsea Commercial. “We are proud of work alongside Namibians to build a sustainable and inclusive energy landscape; one that delivers long-term benefits to communities and the nation as a whole.”
As Namibia’s energy ambitions take shape, TechnipFMC remains dedicated to creating in-country value, supporting national priorities through innovation, collaboration, and capacity development, and ensuring that local content remains at the heart of every project delivered.
