TechnipFMC is at the center of the Malaysian oil and gas industry, as the leading solutions provider in Asia Pacific for hydrocarbon production and transformation.

Contact us

Malaysia is an important global hub for TechnipFMC. Our activities cover three of our main areas of operation – Subsea, Onshore/Offshore, and Surface technologies.

We have been in the country since 1982. The capital, Kuala Lumpur, is our headquarters for our entities located in the Asia Pacific region, making it a critical contributor to our global business.

In total, we have seven facilities in Malaysia along with three vessels – Deep Orient, G1201 and Island Performer. Our activity includes delivery of two Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) units.

One of these, PFLNG Satu, plays an important role in PETRONAS’ efforts to unlock gas reserves in Malaysia’s remote and stranded fields. The other, Shell Prelude, is the largest floating facility ever built and is currently positioned off the coast of Western Australia.

Among our other projects is the execution of the PETRONAS Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (RAPID) project in Johor, where we are acting as project management consultants.

RAPID is a world-scale complex aiming to answer the growing need for differentiated and specialty chemicals and to meet future demands in the Asia Pacific region.
