Since the late 1950’s, TechnipFMC has been engineering and delivering facilities in all sectors and has been contributing to Algeria’s economic development.
Algeria has large oil and gas reserves, and TechnipFMC has been a long-term partner of this country.
We performed our first contract in 1959 with the gas processing plant and delivered the world’s first base-load LNG plants in Arzew (1964) and Skikda (1971), both fed by the Hassi R’mel field.
Since then, we have engineered and delivered over 30 EPC / EPCs contracts including 7 LNG and gas treatment units, 5 refining units, 5 fertilizer plants and 15 other industrial projects (cement, food packaging, flat glass plant, paper & cardboard, textile etc.)
In November 2018, we completed a contract for Sanofi for Africa’s largest pharmaceutical production and distribution platform.
For the last 10 years, TechnipFMC has been supplying custody transfer measurement technology to Algeria allowing companies such as NAFTAL and Sonatrach to trade hydrocarbons and refined fuel products with partners in and outside Algeria.
